Yes. We list landowners as Named Insureds, which is a significant upgrade over the standard “Additional Insured” status. This is also included with your coverage and no membership is needed for your landowner(s).
Coverage can begin as early as the next day after your purchase is completed. Once paid, your Certificate of Insurance (COI) is emailed to you instantly.
Yes. To satisfy the terms of the insurance policy, you must have a written lease agreement in place. You can use your own, but we provide a time-tested, customizable lease agreement at no extra cost.
No. To keep things simple, you do not need to list every hunter at the time of purchase. All hunters are covered as long as they are listed on your written lease agreement or a hunt club roster.
Yes. Our policy includes Guest Liability Coverage. Guests are covered as long as they are on the property at the same time as a member listed on the lease or roster.
No. This program is strictly for private, non-commercial hunting leases. Lands used for subleasing or commercial outfitting are not eligible for this specific policy.
AHLA is unique because we offer Master Policies starting on the 1st of every month. This allows you to align your insurance with the actual start date of your lease rather than being forced into a generic August-to-August cycle.
No. While you should have that information for your own records, the insurance application only requires the physical address (or nearest intersection) and the county/state of the property.
Yes. In fact, many landowners will not sign a lease until you show proof of insurance. You can purchase the policy first and then use the included AHLA lease template to finalize your agreement.
Once your payment is processed, a PDF of your COI is emailed to you immediately. You can forward that email to your landowner or print it out to hand-deliver it with your signed lease.
