Since 2010, the American Hunting Lease Association has provided hunting lease, hunt club and vacant land liability insurance that protects landowners who open their land to hunters and outdoor recreation. We’re a small team of outdoorsmen and women, insurance professionals and advocates based in Fishers, Indiana.

Our Story

Why does AHLA exist?

The American Hunting Lease Association was founded in 2010 in Fishers, Indiana, on a simple idea: landowners hold the keys to the future of hunting in America.

When landowners lease or open their land, hunters get safe, ethical places to hunt with family and friends. But opening your gate also opens you up to liability, and that worry keeps a lot of good land closed.

AHLA was built to remove that worry. We provide affordable, landowner-focused liability coverage so more owners can say yes to hunters.
