The policy covers the American Hunting Lease Association as the managing company, the landowners as the lessors, and the hunting clubs as the lessees. It also provides coverage for “Hunt Club Members” who are on the active member roster prior to a loss, as well as guests of the hunt club or its members.
Yes, the policy includes a Medical Expense Limit. We will pay up to $5,000 for medical expenses because of bodily injury sustained by your Hunt Club Members or their guests.
Coverage applies exclusively to occurrences that arise out of the activities and operations of the hunt clubs at the scheduled locations. This refers to the specific tracts of land leased to a hunt club as provided by your certificate.
Yes, with specific size restrictions. The policy provides liability coverage for the use of boats that are under 19 feet in length and equipped with outboard motors of 25 horsepower or less.
No, the policy explicitly excludes any and all exposure related to any residential, habitational, or building structure of any kind on the leased premises.
Under this policy structure, the American Hunting Lease Association serves as the primary Named Insured and the “Managing Company”. Individual hunting clubs and landowners are afforded coverage under this master policy when a specific Certificate of Insurance is issued on behalf of the company for their particular lease. Once that certificate is issued, the coverage applies exclusively to the activities and operations of the hunt club at that specific scheduled location.
No, the policy contains a specific exclusion for any and all exposure related to prescribed or controlled burning of any kind on the premises. Additionally, any activity or operation performed by you, your employees, guests, or members that results in damage by fire to the premises is excluded.
Yes. The policy uses a Designated Location General Aggregate Limit, meaning each tract of land leased to a specific hunt club carries its own separate aggregate limit equal to the overall General Aggregate ($2,000,000). Claims at one location do not reduce coverage available at another.
No. The policy explicitly excludes all exposure related to any residential, habitational, or building structure of any kind on the leased premises. If there are cabins, barns, or other structures on your lease, you should seek separate property coverage.
Yes, guests of the hunt club or individual hunt club members are treated as additional insureds. However, this protection applies only to liability that arises directly from the club’s activities and operations within the boundaries of the specific land leased, owned, or loaned to the club.
Within the structure of this policy, a landowner is officially classified as the “Lessor”. This refers to the entity or individual who owns the specific tract of land being leased to the hunting club, which the policy classifies as the “Lessee”. The landowner’s property becomes a designated location under the policy once a certificate is issued for that specific tract of land.
